Continuing Education and Professional Studies at Seton Hall University provides professionals with opportunities to continue their education and advance their careers. Seton Hall offers a wide array of degree and certificate programs as well as credit and non-credit workshops and courses. Program Offerings

Healthcare

  • Adult Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Certification Program gives an overview of the impact of mental health problems in the United States; outline the signs, symptoms, possible risk factors and warning signs of depression and anxiety.
  • Basic Health Assessment Refresher Course is a computer-based learning program that provides an opportunity for registered nurses to further develop and hone basic health assessment skills prior to beginning an advanced health assessment course.
  • Introduction to Critical Care Ultrasonography
    This is an introductory ultrasound course that will introduce the learner to use ultrasonographical examination to detect cardiac, pulmonary, vascular, and abdominal abnormalities. 
  • iTHIRST Spiritual Companionship Certification Training This online training program seeks to provide a spiritual remedy to those with substance use disorders and their families.
  • Prescribing Controlled Dangerous Substances
    This six-hour course addressing the key concepts required to safely prescribe controlled dangerous substances meets the requirements for Advanced Practice Nurses (ANP) to be licensed to prescribe Controlled Dangerous Substances in New Jersey.
  • Youth Mental Health First Aid Certificate Program teaches students how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders in youth. This training gives adults who work with youth the skills they need to reach out and provide initial support to children and adolescents (ages 6-18) who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem.

Leadership

  • Approaches to Contemporary Leadership course from Seton Hall’s Buccino Leadership Institute addresses provides an overview of the factors essential for effective leadership. This course is designed for practitioners – those in leadership positions or aspiring to lead. 
  • CPA Pathway Apprenticeship Program is a work-for-credit program is a cutting-edge initiative that bridges the gap between classroom learning and professional practice. Participants will be immersed in the dynamic world of accounting, preparing them for the challenges they will face as future Certified Public Accountants (CPAs).
  • Global Immersion* graduate certificate Courses immerses students in a transformative journey that blends academic rigor with service-oriented global engagement, aligned with the principles of Catholic mission and service. Through experiential learning and immersive experiences, students engage with diverse communities, fostering empathy, cultural competency,  and a commitment to social justice. 
  • Leadership Strategies in the Disruptive AI Era from Seton Hall’s Buccino Leadership Institute cultivates a new set of workplace capabilities and a mindset that embraces uncertainty and approaches AI and disruption with purpose. This course is designed for professionals, managers and entrepreneurs.  
  • Striving for Greatness: Enhancing Sport and Athletic Performance certificate course that spans over six intensive hours, where you'll delve into cutting-edge strategies and techniques designed to optimize athletic performance and a competitive mindset. Led by an industry expert and esteemed faculty psychologist, this course delves deeply into the psychological aspects of sports performance, alongside advanced topics including stress management, goal-setting strategies, and relaxation techniques.

  • Digital Content Creation* is a graduate certificate course where participants explore the dynamic landscape of digital content creation, from compelling visuals to engaging narratives, with emphasis on harnessing cutting-edge tools and platforms to craft content that resonates across diverse audiences. Participants will gain insights into content optimization for various digital channels, driving traffic, and fostering meaningful connections. 
  • Digital Transformation Series, delivered entirely by industry professionals, will consist of a series of keynote lectures from practicing Information Technology (IT) professionals. This series aims to educate attendees on the multiple facets of the IT landscape and the exciting career paths that are available.
  • Innovation & Design Thinking* graduate certificate course blends design thinking principles with creating an innovation mindset primed for creative problem-solving and user-centric innovation.
