Professor Lifson joined the Stillman School of Business faculty in 2023 as Instructor of Economics. Concurrently, he serves as president of RASA Consulting, LLC, which provides marketing commentary on foreign exchange, equity markets and treasury markets. Daily commentaries include market updates on the USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CAD and any other currencies during the trading day. Commentary also includes economic developments and releases that can affect the financial markets.
He has been involved in currency markets (trading and sales) for 40 years – including serving as chief foreign exchange trader at PNC Bank, Pittsburgh and president of the United States Foreign Exchange Association (FOREX USA), during which time he also served on the Federal Reserve Foreign Exchange Committee.
Professor Lifson has taught finance and economics at Duquesne University, University of Pittsburgh, St. Vincent’s College, Monmouth University, University of Connecticut and New Jersey City University.
He holds an MBA in International Finance from St. John’s University and a bachelor’s degree in Rhetoric and Public Address, Economics from Brooklyn College/City University of New York.
