B.J. Schecter to Lead Center for Sports Media
B.J. Schecter, Associate Director of the Center for Sports Media in the College of Human Development, Culture, and Media, has been appointed Interim Executive Director of the Center.
The Center for Sports Media redefines how students are trained in media, communications, sports business, engaging with the sports community, and producing groundbreaking content through University channels and partnerships with major media outlets.
Established in Fall 2021, the Center for Sports Media within the College of Human Development, Culture, and Media provides an interdisciplinary foundation for academic training and theory with practical experience pertinent to excellence in the Sports Media discipline.
The Center for Sports Media redefines how students are trained in media, communications, sports business, engaging with the sports community and producing innovative content.

At the Center for Sports Media's event, best-selling author Jeff Benedict entertained a crowd of students, faculty and alums about "The Dynasty" - Benedict's book and Apple TV series.
Offered this summer, the new Sports Media and Business Academy will provide high school students the opportunity to gain insights into the intricate business aspects of sports.
